For several years now, Android users are availing the facility of wireless charging while on the other hand iPhones users had to carry their chargers and find a place near sockets in case they run out of battery. But with the launch of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus, Apple finally jumped on to the wireless charging trend- with the iPhone 8’s and iPhone 8 plus’s glass back making it all possible. iPhone 8 and 8 plus are compatible with many QI-enabled chargers, and many have been recommended by Apple itself. There are also some very reliable iPhone 8 fast charging chargers available that can help you!
In this busy world, everyone wants the work to be done in the nick of time and so, for charging everyone prefers adopters/ chargers assisting in their phone’s fast charging. Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus can support fast charging. Apple claims that these iPhones can charge 50% of their battery in just 30 minutes. But, this is only possible with the use of USB-C to lightning cable. To reap the maximum benefit of faster charging several experiments were conducted to ensure using different Apple adapters and cords.
With the release of iPhone 8, Apple glossed over its feature of fast charging but just by using your regular adopter for it, won’t help in achieving speedier charging.
After testing different adopters with a combination of USB-A to the lightning cable and USB-C to the lighting cable. iPhone 8 showed best results compared to iPhone 8 plus, and iPhone X in all combinations and especially using Apple’s 29-Watt charger with USB-C to lightning cable showed approximately 55% charging in 30 minutes.
On charging for 60 minutes 12W and Apple’s 29Watt charger showed the same result of 82% charging.
Apple continued to gloss over the feature of fast charging with iPhone 8 Plus and similarly using the same adopter was not helpful to achieve fast charging. While experimenting the fast charging, all three latest iPhones- iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X were drained out of battery and tested using different adopters with USB-A to the lightning cable and USB-C to the lightning cable.
The results showed that iPhone 8 plus had consistent results on the use of different combinations. With the use of Apple’s29-Watt charger with USB-C to lightning cable showed 50% charging in 30 minutes and 60 minutes it showed 82% charging.
Apple gives a 5watt charger with iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus just like all other Apple devices, but this takes plenty of time to charge your device. Therefore, to enjoy fast charging as per Apple’s claim you need to spend a little more and use any of Apple’s 29-Watt, 30Watt, 61Watt, 87Watt USB-C power adapters.
As seen through the test results mentioned above, using Apple’s 29W charger in a combination of USB-C to the lightning cable showed best results for both iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Aukey’s 29W charger and Anker’s 29W charger also showed equivalent results like that of Apple’s 29-Watt adopter.
As for wireless charging, using Mophie’s Wireless Charging base can help in fast charging by charging up to 24-25% in just 30 minutes on iPhone 8 Plus and approximately 21- 22% charging in iPhone 8. It may not sound good compared to the use of adopter, but it is an outstanding amount among the wireless chargers.
Adaptive fast charging is a relative innovation in the technological world, and it is already well on its road to long-term success and further innovative research. Considering whether the new cell phone supports fast charging or not is a new trend amongst people. Previously, it was the RAM, internal memory, screen resolution and processor specifications...
A USB car charger is an electronic charging gadget used to charge mobile phones, tablets, dash cams and so on. The adaptor plugs into the car lighter port and gains electricity from car’s battery to provide it to its USB ports. Then, you can charge your devices using USB cables. Now, although the car...
